Where We Stand: Credential Attainment in Western North Carolina

Western North Carolina is making steady progress in credential attainment, with more residents earning degrees and workforce credentials that support economic growth. Still, gaps persist across communities, limiting access to opportunity. The latest data highlights the importance of strengthening education-to-career pathways, aligning with employer needs, and expanding access.
Continued collaboration will be key to meeting statewide goals set by myFutureNC and building a resilient workforce.

Our latest Impact Report highlights P20’s progress from 2022–2025, including student and family engagement, teacher training, new partnerships, and over $2.5M in grant funding.
